Class Experience

Dr. Montessori believed that “the hand is the instrument of the mind.” Leaners will deepen their learning at camp through artistic expression.

Class format:

Sing and move hello

Read a book to inspire us
Create a collective definition of the day’s concept

Create an art piece that reflects that concept

Share creations
Sing goodbye

Day 1: I Am Love

A short story will inspire learners to think about how they show love to themselves and others. We will create a collage of images and words.

Day 2: I Am Kind

A short story will inspire learners to think about how they can be kind to others. We will create a kindness jar full of ways to be kind to others. The jar can be filled with images and/or words.

Day 3: I Am Courage
A short story will inspire learners to think about what courage means. Learners will choose an example of a time when they showed courage or they will choose an example of something they want to have courage about. We will then create a drawing or painting.

This is a multi-age class and various techniques will be used to ensure all learners benefit. The benefits of multi-age classes are more creativity and less competition, older students learn by teaching and younger students learn from older students modeling.

Learning Goals

-Learners will expand their definition of each day's concept by creating a collective definition and bringing its meaning to life through art.
-Learners will express themselves and share their unique perspective through art.

Hi. My name is Tiffany!

I have superpowers!

I nurture children’s natural curiosity about the world.

I support them in becoming

-playful explorers

-creative thinkers

-self-driven learners

What’s my secret you ask?

I am a teacher who is authentic, nurturing, and loving.

I have a Montessori certificate in Early Childhood (ages 3-6) from the North American Montessori Center.

I’ve led outdoor play-based classes for mixed ages ranging from 18 months to 8 years. I continuously learn how to ask wonder-based questions and evoke children's sense of wonder.

I aim to give children a voice and choice in what and how they learn.

I love to see children become empowered to be their unique selves.

I am the owner and lead educator at Play Love Repeat Preschool & Daycare.
