Hurry, hurry, drive the fire truck and head on over to class and let's have fun while we learn about fire safety. Students will be invited to participate in fun, engaging songs and rhymes while learning basic fire safety rules. Students will also listen to the book "Fire Truck" by Ivan Ulz. Students will be asked questions to check their comprehension and encourage active listening. Then at the end of the class, students will be invited to create a fire safety handprint craft. Songs and rhymes will include: 1. Hurry, Hurry, Drive the Firetruck. 2. Ten Little Fire Fighters 3. I'm A Fire Fighter Students will be sent a link with a photo of the finished product after enrolling in the class. Basic supplies are listed below. 1. Crayons, markers, or colored pencils. 2. The handout will need to be printed out before class. **Younger students may need an adult to help trace their hand.
Learning Goals
Students will learn basic fire safety rules.
1. Call 911 to report a fire.
2. How a Fire Fighter can help if there is a fire.
3. What a Fire Fighter may wear.
