In this one-time class, learners will listen to elements of the Booger Book and brainstorm ideas for a humorous fiction story. Learners will write their own short, funny and gross story.

Learners will listen to elements from The Booger Book, Pick It, Lick It, Roll It, Flick It by J.B. O'Neil (The Disgusting Adventures of Milo Snotrocket). We will review the book and all of the ideas will inspire ideas for our own stories. Learners will write a short story, laughing all the way! Learners will be encouraged to share their stories, but will not be required. Illustrating will depend on the time taken to write stories. Examples from the book include: Booger candies for Valentine's Day doesn't seem to work... Feeding booger food to your goldfish makes them freaky... Detention forever if you stir them into your teachers salad... You can use boogers in art class...nobody knows the difference. This class will be fun and interactive. Learners can ask questions, provide ideas and just have fun writing!

Learners will brainstorm ideas for a humorous fiction story and produce a short story containing elements of fiction writing.
