Individual Tutoring is available for high school aged students in the following subjects: -English -Writing -Reading -History/Social Studies -AP History and AP English Schedule to be set after discussion with you and your student. My tutoring style is mostly practice-based. If necessary, the beginning of every class will be spent dedicated to modeling strategies, words, phrases, essays, writing, etc. The rest of tutoring sessions is meant to be practice. I am a trained and experienced private tutor for elementary, middle school and high school aged students. I am currently an AP Social Science Teacher at a Title I high school in the Bay Area and a teacher at Reconstruction US. I have taught middle school Social Studies at a Title I middle school in Richmond, CA. In addition, I have tutored students through Kumon, taught small group classes like chess and engineering, tutored middle school math, tutored middle school writing through Adventures in Writing, tutored ESL to adult learners, and more. I have over 7 years of experience private tutoring and have been teaching in brick and mortar middle schools and high schools for the past 2 years.
No homework, unless specifically requested by the student.
Paper and pencil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No assessments, unless specifically requested by the student (writing, tests, etc).
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
