Class Experience

I am a human rights lawyer by profession and have worked for the United Nations for over a decade. I am also a homeschool mom of young kids and know how important it is to present these ideas early and gently to children so they can learn to think about their rights, to develop empathy for others and to make this a part of their vocabulary and thought process early in life.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
These ideas are presented in gentle ways, but for a sensitive child, the idea of the right to peace, and the knowledge that not all children live in peace might be upsetting, or that not all children have homes. No scary photos or media will be presented during the class, but the idea that not all children have access to these rights is a concept that is presented during the class.
