In this four unit self-paced class, students will learn about four different body systems (The Digestive system, The Skeletal System, The Respiratory System, and The Circulatory System.) This is a self-paced class which means there are no live meetings. Students can complete the lessons and activities at their own pace. Week 1Lesson 1The Digestive SystemThis lesson will go through the different parts of the Digestive System and their functions. Students will follow along with Ms. Erin to create their own unique models of the Digestive System.Week 2Lesson 2The Skeletal SystemThis lesson will go the different bones of the Skeletal System and their functions. Students will follow along with Ms. Erin to create their own models of the Skeletal System. Students will play a virtual game to label the Skeleton.Week 3Lesson 3The Respiratory SystemThis lesson will go through the different parts of the Respiratory System and their functions. Students will understand how breathing occurs. Students will create 3D models of the Respiratory System.Week 4Lesson 4The Circulatory SystemThis lesson will go through the different parts of the Circulatory System and their functions. Students will understand circulation and how the Heart works. They will learn several fun facts. Students will create models of the Circulatory System.
Students will learn about four different body systems and participate in engaging activities and worksheets.
I am a certified early childhood and elementary education teacher with 10 years experience. I taught science to all elementary grade levels for 5 years.
Homework Offered
Each unit will consist of one or two videos. The lesson will be about 10 to 15 minutes long. The hands-on activity of the week will take about 15-30 minutes. A short worksheet will also be provided.Assessments Offered
Students will submit their worksheets to the teacher for personalized feedback. Students will post pictures of their completed assignments in the classroom.Grades Offered

Lesson 2: Skeletal System Paper Pencil Glue Q-tips or pasta Lesson 3: Respiratory System Paper Markers 2 zip lock bags 2 straws (that can bend at the tips) Tape Lesson 4: Circulatory System Paper A pencil Play dough (2 different colors)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Some students may need help completing the hands-on activities.
