In this four unit self-paced class, students will learn about four different body parts/systems (The Brain, The Eye, The Cell, and skin and nails.) This is a self-paced class, which means there are no live meetings. Students can complete the lessons and activities at their own pace. 4 lessons//4 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1The BrainThis lesson will focus on the Brain, its parts, and their functions. Next, the students will create their brain hat projects.Week 2Lesson 2The EyeThis lesson will focus on the Eye, its different parts, and their functions. As they go through the lesson, students will follow along with Ms. Erin to create diagrams of the Eye out of play dough.Week 3Lesson 3The CellThis lesson will focus on the Cell, its different parts, and their functions. As they go through the lesson, students will follow along with Ms. Erin to create diagrams of the Cell with various art materials.Week 4Lesson 4Skin and NailsThis lesson will focus on skin and nails, their different parts, and their functions. Next, the students will create 3D models of the Skin.
Students will learn about four different body systems/body parts and participate in engaging activities and worksheets.
I am a certified early childhood and elementary education teacher with 10 years experience. I taught science to all elementary grade levels for 5 years.
Homework Offered
Each unit will consist of one or two videos. The lesson will be about 10 to 15 minutes long. The hands-on activity of the week will take about 15-30 minutes. A short worksheet will also be provided.Assessments Offered
Students will submit their worksheets to the teacher for personalized feedback. Students will post pictures of their completed assignments in the classroom.Grades Offered

A pencil Lesson 4: Skin and Nails A small cardboard box Colored paper Scissors Glue Markers
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Some students may need help completing the hands-on activities.
