In this lecture-based class, students will focus on the muscles of the upper body and core. Students will learn about how our muscles make contractions and we will go over them in sections and learn origin and insertion points. A paper that may be filled out during class will be posted for students to follow along with muscle action and its antagonist. We will also learn about common injuries and exercises for each muscle quadrant if there is time. Each class will conclude or begin by taking a quiz on quizizz.com. Students will have access to these quizzes through their lesson with me. Each class ends with homework for students to do each week. They will learn how to do research papers and find reliable articles. An interactive visual app called 3D 4Medical and Visible Body, will be used for a hands-on experience and videos to show bones being built. Students are not required to purchase the app but I encouraged parents to invest in it if students have a deep interest. I have attached labeling documents to encourage students to follow along and label each body part. Part 1- Skeletal Part 2- Joints Part 3- Muscle physiology, muscles of the UPPER body and core Part 4- Muscle contractions and muscles of the core and LOWER body
