Description
Class Experience
In this lecture-based class, students will learn about the bones in our bodies and can follow along using guided notes. Firstly we will learn able body movement to have a good grasp on how to label parts of the body. We will discuss how bones are classified, what they are made of, and how they form. Throughout the course, students will be asked to touch certain bones and even move around to get a better understanding. Classes 2 and 3 are divided based on the classification of the bone....
Objectives 1. To be able to explain how bones are formed and recover from injury 2. Remember the types of bones we have and why they are important 3. To be able to recognize and label a bone model and its parts
I have a bachelor's degree in exercise science, 15 years of experience as a massage therapist, 3 years as a yoga instructor and 2 years an an ACSM certified exercise physiologist and personal trainer. I have also taken 2 courses in advanced anatomy and physiology that consisted of cadaver labs.
Students will need to download and label the bony structures on the sheet. This is for self study! There is homework assigned for each week. This will be graded outside of class time and students will get feedback

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Questions are encouraged and there are 2 homework assignments. Students will be graded based on a rubric.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
The attachment contains anatomical depictions of male and female genitalia however, we will not cover this subject in my classes.
