Class Experience
Students will learn the causes of World War I. The course will be part lecture, activities (including Digital Breakouts) and discussion. The schedule for this class will be as follows: Week 1- Assassination of Franz Ferdinand and Nationalism- Students will learn about nationalism and why nationalism led to the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. They will also learn about the geopolitical struggles in the reason that also led to the assassination Week 2- Militarism- how did the buildup of...
Students will learn the M.A.I.N. Causes of World War I. They will have an understanding of each of the M.A.I.N. Causes. They will also build vocabulary throughout the lessons as well as gaining digital literacy and problem solving skills.
I am a Social Studies teacher and lifelong history scholar.
Homework will be optional.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Learners will be assessed through weekly in class activities
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
