Class Experience

The learning goals for this course is for each learner to be able to explain how to write Flash Fiction, understand the structure of these short stories and be able to confidently write their own Flash Fiction.
There will be reading materials that the learners will be provided. They will also be given writing assignments that must be completed before the next class. The reading will never be more 10 pages in length and most of the stories they will be reading are less than one page. These writing assignments will vary in time based on the learner's abilities, but should not take longer than 2 hours. Every assignment will be done individually.
The only thing the learners will need is their computers as all writing should be done digitally so they can submit work on the website.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learners' progress will be assessed informally.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
No. I will keep the materials appropriate for the age group.
