US Grade 3 - 5
In this informal letter writing class, students will guided as they write their own informal letter in class. They will also learn how to address an envelope. Students will learn how to write in an informal style and the best time to use this style when letter writing. Students will look at examples to see how an informal letter might sound and examples of how students may want to begin their letter. Students will also learn when it is not appropriate to use an informal style in a letter. There are a variety of letter writing styles such as informal, formal, and semi-formal (also known as modified formal). It is important to know when to use which style when letter writing so that you're able to address people in the correct manner. Learning about different letter writing styles means that you will come across as polite in a formal setting, and so that you don't sound like a robot when writing to friends. An informal letter writing style is appropriate to use when writing to friends, family, or other people who you are personally close to.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in History from Grand Canyon University
Hello! My name is Tracy. From ESL to social clubs and creative writing, I offer many different classes that are fun and allow for learning without pressure and stress! Academic success has always been important to me. I was the valedictorian of my high school graduating class and I graduated from Grand Canyon University, cum laude. I have 16 years of teaching experience. I taught a private school before starting a family of my own. I have taught every subject, from ESL to math and physics! I’ve taught ages from 3 to 18 years old.
Learning is important, but it's difficult to learn when you are stressed, struggling, or overwhelmed. I strive to make my classes fun so learning is easy.
As a mother of five, I understand that every child is different and they each have a learning style that works best for them. Because I have homeschooled all five of my children since the beginning of their schooling, I have seen the different ways children learn and know the importance of making learning enjoyable . I adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of the student.
I look forward to our classtime!
