Calling all creative writers! Come one, come all, to learn about how to write the best villains! Whether you are writing a short story, play, movie script, or comic book, the hallmarks of a good villain remain the same. In this class, you will learn these hallmarks so you can write interesting and three-dimensional bad guys in your next piece of writing. We will start the course by discussing who villains are and how to make them interesting. Then, we will learn the characteristics of a well-written villain. We will look at some examples of well-written villains in film and T.V. Finally, we will end the lesson by writing our own villains! In this class, students will learn through examples and will be encouraged to participate by answering questions. We will also work together to put what we learned into practice, as there will be an interactive component at the end of class where students write their own villains. I strive to provide a class environment that is fun, engaging, and a positive space! I hope to see you there! :) ***If you don’t see a suitable time, feel free to use the auto-scheduler (click “Show Alternative Times”) or message me to make a section that suits your schedule.*** No prior creative writing experience required. Open to writers of any skill. #creative

Hi there! Teacher Tirath here! Nice to (virtually) meet you! :)
I am so excited to be on Outschool to teach creative courses! I have 4+ years of teaching both English and math to students of all ages, and have been teaching English online for almost three years. I also have experience leading arts camps as well as working with children on film sets. I am excited about this opportunity to be able to continue to open my classroom to students from all over the world!
In terms of my qualifications, I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Film Production. My specializations were screenwriting, directing, editing and sound. I have made a few short films of my own which have been shown at film festivals, and I also have done lots of editing work in the past few years. Needless to say, creativity is my passion!
I also have a Bachelors of Science, and love teaching classes that blend both science and the arts!
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and full of positivity. I believe that learning should be enjoyable, so I like to keep my classes engaging and full of fun! Also a positive learning environment is a must in my book!
When I’m not teaching or doing film work, I like to read books, draw, listen to music, and spend some time in nature, whether that be hiking, walking, or biking! I am a total tree hugger!
Hope to see you in my classroom! :)
