• What will be taught? Students will learn important features of procedural writing to successfully explain their reasoning in Math. • What topics will you cover? Students will learn/review sequential words, transitional phrases, and a variety of Math vocabulary to succinctly explain their reasoning in a written composition. Additionally, students will learn how to structure their sentences appropriately to convey their thoughts. • How is your class structured? This class will include direct instruction and opportunity for student-supported learning. • How will you teach? This class is structured for virtual whole group instruction. • What's your teaching style? My teaching approach can be classified as the "demonstrator" style. Learners will be able to observe a teacher's model written response in Math. Afterwards the learner will be able to practice their own model during our live class session. During this time, the teacher will also be able to provide virtual support to learners. • How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? This is a live video class. Therefore, learners will get to interact with teachers and peers. • Any required experience or knowledge learners need? No prior experience is necessary.
