Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 4
In this one-time course, learners ages 8-10 will explore the 4 essential parts and the structure of the perfect paragraph to master writing a perfect paragraph appropriate for their age. They will view a clear example as they learn the parts, spin a wheel of topics, and work as a class to write a paragraph together. Then, they will work alone to write their own paragraph after spinning the wheel of topics and present it to the class if they would like (completely optional).

The class will begin with an interactive lecture presentation of the 4 essential parts of a paragraph and the example paragraph. Depending on class size, learners will work as a whole group, in pairs, or in small groups to write a paragraph together. Finally, they will write a paragraph on their own.

Learners are encouraged to interact and ask questions of their peers and the teacher. Teacher guidance is offered throughout the lesson.
