Description
Class Experience
Students will plan, draft, edit, revise, and submit a final draft of a 5-paragraph essay. After submitting the essay, students will receive feedback based on a rubric and self-editing checklist provided by the teacher.
I am a licensed K-12 teacher with 10 years of experience. My education includes a Bachelor's in English and a Master's in Teaching.
Students will need to finish planning and writing assignments at home. They will also need to spend time revising and editing their 5-paragraph essays before submitting them to the teacher for feedback.
Student writing will be assessed using a rubric and self-editing checklist that will be provided for the students to use while writing their essays. The teacher will also provide comments about what students did well and what can be improved.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
