Class Experience

Student will learn how to play D&D 5E (Pillars of Adventure)
Students will learn how to train companions from Stibbles Codex of Companions.
Students will learn how to work together as a team during their adventures.
Students will gain a vicarious notion of being responsible for their companion throughout the class.
Students will learn about the legends and lore of the Forgotten Realms (helpful for future D&D campaigns).
Students should read up on the rules of D&D 5E in order to learn spells and skills in preparation for their next class. Students are responsible for maintaining their character sheet on Roll20 (I will help them of course). The more the student researches and prepares, the more they can enjoy the class.
It is recommended for the full enjoyment of the class that the student purchase Stibbles Codex of Companions by Logan Reese.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will cooperatively attain various goals each class; in doing so they will earn experience points and move up in levels and will gain Bond Points with their companions.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In this class we will follow the Three Pillars of Adventure (exploration, role playing, and fantasy combat) using the "world's greatest role playing game" (D&D 5E). Most of the class will consist of students discussing their vision of how they and their companion interact with the group as they explore the environment. Combat with monsters and villains will be age appropriate, low key and devoid of graphic detail - this is a light-hearted, fun class.
It is recommended for the full enjoyment of the class that the student purchase Stibbles Codex of Companions by Logan Reese.
