This class will be an introduction to taking care of curly hair. We will start the class by introducing ourselves and discussing our hair and the different experiences and challenges we have had with it. We will also go over rules which will include being respectful, kind, and courteous in our exchanges with one another. We will then move into the tools that we will need to care for our hair and discuss different curl patterns and textures. The tools will include a small spray bottle...
Learners will get an introduction in how to take care of curly hair.
There is no homework for this class but I would love to see some pictures of your finished hairstyles using the information you learn from the class.
1 Spray bottle filled with warm water 1 Large toothed comb 1 container of a preferred curling agent ( Gel, Mousse, Curling cream, ect)
Learners will be given verbal guidance and shown explicitly during class how to care for their hair. There will be no formal assessment.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
All hair is beautiful and we will be cognizant of the language used when discussing different types of hair and their textures.
