In this 4 week self-paced course, students learn how to solve equations with one variable. There are no live class meetings for this class.

Class experience

US Grade 6 - 9
This class is taught in English.
Students will be able to solve linear equations in one variable, including equations with coefficients represented by letters.
Students will be able to explain each step in solving a simple equation.
Homework Offered
10-15 practice problems are assigned after each session. Worked out answer keys will also be provided so that students can check their work and find any mistakes. Homework will take approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Google forms quizzes can be taken in each section; they are auto-graded and optional. No login required.
Grades Offered
paper, pencil, and calculator

Recommended calculator:  TI-30XS MULTIVIEW calculator (approximately $15 at amazon, target, etc.) *Must say "MultiView"
This is the only calculator I recommend for Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Precalculus in high school as well as college Algebra.

Graphing calculator is NOT recommended.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
