Are you looking to try out music? Do you want to learn to read music in a fun and safe environment? Come join my music reading crash course! We will learn how to read music in a treble clef staff, and recognize notes quickly. The class will be 50 minutes long to accomplish learning all 5 notes on the staff lines and all 4 notes in the staff spaces, as well as 2 notes under the staff. The class will be calm and comfortable, with games and singing to enhance learning and fun! There will be slides and gestures for visual learners, songs for auditory learners, and questions will be welcomed throughout the entire course! Quiet fidget toys are also welcome if they improve focus! There is no prior music knowledge needed at all, this is for children who want to learn to read music. No instruments required, no complicated musical concepts, just fundamental treble staff music! I am excited to help guide your child through the beginning of their musical journey!

I am a professional freelance clarinetist who has been playing and reading sheet music for over a decade. I have also played with professional jazz musicians. I have a bachelor's degree from NYU in Music Education and have taught music reading to elementary students while student teaching in a NYC Public School. I have also arranged in treble clef, with a strong understanding of pace and repetition being crucial to the learning process of note identification.
