Use Your Creative Superpowers to Help Kids Around the World! Wouldn’t it be amazing for your child to have global impact now? If your child has written or is even thinking about writing a book that will teach, entertain, or inspire others, then this class will give them the tools to easily publish and sell their book on Amazon. This how-to class designed for 13 to 15-year-old students includes a live demonstration designed to make the publishing process simple and fun! During the 1 hour class, Amazon best-selling author Beth McGuffin, M.Ed. guides learners through the process of publishing their manuscript on Amazon in Kindle and paperback formats. The class includes a publishing checklist, pro tips, and resource suggestions for formatting the manuscript and book cover design. Topics covered: *Logging in to Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing *Entering book details quickly and easily *Uploading book content and cover *Writing a Description *Selecting categories *Choosing Keywords *Pricing and distribution options By the end of our class, students will be ready to upload their manuscript and book cover and then sell the book on Amazon! Remember neither the book content nor cover needs to be complete to take this class. The only prerequisite is basic computer skills. Note to camera shy students: I am in class 5 minutes before the start time. You can come to class early and check-in with your video on and then turn it off.
Learning Goals
Students will have the basic information needed to enter their book details, upload their manuscript and cover, and publish a book for sale on Amazon.

Supply List
Learners should be ready with paper and writing utensils. I suggest using colored pencils to make notes more fun! Parents will need to create an Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing account (https://kdp.amazon.com) to publish on Amazon. However, this does not need to be done before class unless the learner would like to log in during the demonstration.
