Has your child expressed interest in the very popular game of Roblox but you have no idea how to show them how to play? In this one time class, I will give a break down on the basics of the game and how to play on a mobile/desktop device. There are a few tips and tricks that will help get your child started and I will also throw in some good tips on how to play in a respectful manner! This class will be a tutorial based class. I will give a walk through on the basics. Your child is encouraged to have an extra device with them so they can do it while they learn it. Once I cover a few basic tips I will bring them into a very simple game so they can try it out and get the feel for how the game works. This will be done in a private server. This means that the game will be for me and the students. This is a safe way to play the game without interacting with people you don't know. Once I get through some basics, I will allow learner questions and comments so they can get clarity. This class is learner directed so parents even though you want to learn as well, I would encourage you to wait until after class and watch the playback with your child if there is still confusion or questions. You will also be able to reach out to me for questions as well. Just send me a message!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
My name is Michelle. I am so glad you found me on Outschool! Let me tell you a little about myself.
I have been teaching since 2009. I have my masters degree in special education. I have the patience and passion for working with students who have special needs. I have worked closely with the autism community since 2012. I have taught students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade. I have worked closely with children who have been diagnosed with Dyslexia, ODD, Dysgraphia, Autism, ADD, ADHD, Downs Syndrome and those who need social and emotional support. Every child is different and I love teaching students strategies to use not only in academics but as life skills as well. I am an avid reader and writer. I have self-published two books and I am working on more. I love my job because it is challenging and rewarding!
I'm also an online certified TESOL and ESL teacher. I teach children in China how to read and speak English. I've taught over one thousand classes and over three hundred students via this platform. This has given me a tremendous amount of experience teaching children online.
In addition, I have taught children in a preschool setting. I know how important it is to be lively and energetic in order to keep young children's attention. It's also important to be patient and understanding. This experience helped me see the world through the eyes of a child!
I believe that every child is different! Each child has his or her own strengths. Each child has his or her own personality. Each child has the potential to learn and grow in different ways. It is my goal as a teacher to meet those different needs of each unique child.
I will be teaching a variety of classes on Outschool that will instill a love of learning about the world around us. I love teaching many different subjects. My favorite is Language arts.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children! I am the mom a 8 year old, 7 year old and 4 year old. I love spending time showing them the world around them. Arts and crafts is one of our favorite past times!
Thank you for taking the time to learn all about me! I can't wait to meet and get to know your child!
Have a great day!
Teacher Michelle
