How to Play Dungeons and Dragons 1:1 Tutorials for Players and Dungeon Masters

In this 1 on 1 workshop class students will get personalized help in character or adventure creation. We can work on your choice character creation, role playing, and writing your own adventures, DM skills, and world building.

Class Experience

In this 1 on 1 workshop tutoring class we will go over the parts of the Dungeons & Dragons adventure game that you would like to learn more about. Students will decide the topic each week.  

Please let the teacher know before class starts what you would like to work on for the week a least 1 day before class starts.

Some examples of the topics that might be covered in class are:

For players of the game we might cover how to create your own characters, how to keep game notes, how to create a character folder or notebook, how to multi class, how to use combat and spells in them game, basic rules and how to play the game. It might even include a private adventure for just one player.

For dungeon masters we might cover how to run an adventure, how to choose the correct monsters, how to create your own adventure, how to world build, how to homebrew monsters and magic items so they are balanced in your game. 

We can so so cover how to make game terrain / maps and how to paint your miniature monsters and characters.

Learning Goals

Students will gain problem solving skills as they play and create the storytelling game Dungeons & Dragons. Students become better players and dungeon masters in the game of Dungeons and Dragons.

Parental Guidance
Class will include descriptions of fantasy violence such as fighting monsters. There will be magic. Parents that have a D&D beyond account can request the link to the campaign so that they and the student can update the character sheet between classes.
Supply List
This is a one-on-one tutoring session so student should bring the materials that they want to learn about or work on. If the teacher is providing character sheets or handout student should print them out before class. If you are playing an adventure you will need to let me know which adventure you would like to play and have a character sheet to play with.
