Class Experience

At the end of the class, students will know how to:
*Differentiate positive from negative self talk and put themselves in a good frame of mind to meet new people.
*Use effective body language for themselves and also observe the body language of others to identify who is open to being approached.
*Be able to come up with relevant conversation starters while looking for common interests to build a discussion.
*Use the ask, listen, acknowledge, respond, match formula for conversation.
*Use "bait" to attract people with common interests.

As a Career Coach and Recruiter for 15 years, I have been advising candidates on effective body language and communication during the interview process.

In my personal life, I have created a game called Friend Master that I have used to help my son navigate the social waters.
At the end of class, I will challenge each learner to practice their new skills by approaching 5 new people a week.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
