How to Make the Perfect Habitat for Snails OR Hermit Crabs!
Students will learn the similar care needs of both snails and hermit crabs. Students will also be able to set up or clean their pets' habitats! I will offer tips and tricks as well as design ideas to make pet ownership fun.

Description
Class Experience
Identify the basic anatomy of a land snail. Describe what a thriving habitat for snails and hermit crabs includes. Discuss safety procedures for handling land snails/hermit crabs and cleaning their homes.
I will provide guided notes that will accompany the lesson material. Learners who wish to set up their own snail habitat will require a glass jar (or similar container) and a snail from outside! The jar should have some sort of soil for the snail and foods to feed will be discussed.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
