How to Make the Perfect Habitat for Snails OR Hermit Crabs!

Hello! My name is Nicole and I live in New York. I hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature. I have over a decade of teaching experience in the public school system and remotely! I am excited to have an organization where I can introduce you all to like minded professionals who wish to share their knowledge on music, medicine, and epidemiology. Striving Students Towards Success offers courses that can expand your learner's interest in professions and prepare them for upcoming assessments. In order for learners to do well on English language arts and history assessments it is important that they have the skills necessary to analyze passages, use textual evidence to support written responses, define unknown vocabulary terms using context clues, and use strategies to choose the best multiple choice answers. 
My classes focus on preparing for English Language Arts assessments as well as analyzing literature for high school students. I have test preparation classes available for learners starting in grade 3. I also teach current event and journalism classes that assist learners in debating skills and identifying bias in the media. In both my English and current event classes I encourage learners to define unknown vocabulary terms using context clues and also analyze the setting for historical, geographical, and cultural information. 
I create a safe space for learners to share their opinions about what they read in class. I try to encourage discussion among learners so that they can build skills necessary to take part in College lectures. I look forward to meeting your young learner soon!
