In this course students will follow along to live demonstrations of how to make homemade snuffle mats, sock "mouse" and two bat around cat toys. Snuffle mats are great food enrichment activities. We will spend approximately 10-15 minutes on each toy learning how to make them. If the student doesn't finish the project in class, they will walk away with the knowledge of how to finish them after class. During class while we are working on the toys, we will have fun conversation about animals.

Supply List
Approximately 2-3 yards of fleece. ( Used fleece is fine to repurpose) The amount varies based on size of toys you are making. You can have all one color or a mixture of colors. Scissors for cutting fleece Tape measure Elastic hair tie ( I buy the large 80 packs at the $1 store) A sock (a sock who's lost its mate is perfect) Paper ( newspaper, or any recycled paper to crinkle up) Catnip (optional) Yarn (if you do not have any small pieces of yarn, you can use fleece) Mat for base of snuffle mat. The mats need holes for putting the fabric through. Size can vary, but approximately a 10 inch square is a good size. Here are some links to examples of the types of mat needed. This mat would make 2-3 mats depending on size you'd like to make https://www.amazon.com/SafetyCare-Interlocking-Rubber-Drainage-Floor/dp/B017M4OOW6/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=rubber+floor+mat&qid=1586742740&sprefix=rubber+floor&sr=8-16 Here is a cheeper option if wanting to make just one: https://www.amazon.com/Interdesign-36800-12-5x16-Clear-Large/dp/B0000CFPTY/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=rubber+sink+mat&qid=1586743006&sr=8-3
