Welcome to our summer scholars art camp where your student will learn the basic elements and principles of design and all the basic tools an artist needs to become a successful creator. We will cover a variety of techniques ranging from blending with oil pastel, painting with watercolor, using mixed media, shading with colored pencil, and creating different types of art from different movements. This summer camp is perfect for artists looking to expand their skills in several different mediums. In this ongoing course, we will use colored pencil, marker, ink, watercolor, and collage. Each class is centered on expanding a student's skill in a fun and engaging manner. Please think of this course as a sample platter for all different types of mediums. This summer art camp is also a wonderful option for homeschool families looking to integrate math, history and the arts. We will use interactive games to test our knowledge, watch fun educational videos and practice the new skills we learn under the guidance of a certified art educator. Together we will meet twice a week. Day one will be reserved specifically for expanding our educational knowledge through game time and interactive discussions while day two will be reserved specifically for art time. All students are welcome to join us at the beginning of each new week. ---THE BASIC BUILDING BLOCKS OF ART---- 6/4/23-6/10/23 "HOW TO PAINT WITH SHAPES LIKE HENRI MATISSE" 6/11/23-6/17/23 "HOW TO DRAW CASTLES LIKE PAUL KLEE USING LINES" 6/18/23-6/24/23 "HOW TO DRAW ZENTANGLE LANDSCAPES LIKE KARLA GERARD" 6/25/23-6/30/23 "HOW TO DRAW MAGICAL MANDALAS USING SYMMETRY" **THE LAST LESSON FOR THIS MONTH WILL EXTEND INTO 7/1/23*** --THE STUDY OF OUR WORLD THROUGH ART--- 7/2/23-7/8/23 "HOW TO DRAW YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD USING ONE POINT PERSPECTIVE 7/9/23-7/15/23 "HOW TO DRAW YOUR FAVORITE FLOWERS LIKE GEORGIA O'KEEFE" 7/16/23-7/22/23 "HOW TO DRAW OIL PASTEL PASTERIES WITH WAYNE THIEBAUD" 7/23/23-7/29/23 **THE LAST LESSON FOR THIS MONTH WILL EXTEND INTO 7/1/23*** November 20th-26th "HOW TO PAINT FROM REAL LIFE LIKE PAUL CEZANNE" November 27th-30th "HOW TO PAINT POP ART LIKE ANDY WARHOL"
