Class Experience

Students will learn how to make a ladybug using tower blocks also known as Jenga blocks.    
Please see supply list below prior to signing up for class to verify that you are able to get all supplies needed.  The list looks long, but it includes things like the hot glue gun, paint, etc.   
Students will engage with each other by sharing their completed projects and participating in various discussion questions throughout the week. 


  Students will also be using a hot glue gun for 1 small section of the project, please assist as needed.

Syllabus

3 Lessons
over 1 Week
Lesson 1:
How to Build the Lady bug
 In this lesson you will learn the first step of building your lady bug. 
Lesson 2:
How to paint your ladybug.
 In this lesson you will learn how to paint their ladybug.   This is done the next day to allow plenty of time for pieces to dry. 
Lesson 3:
Finishing your Ladybug
 In this lesson you will learn how to do the finishing touches of your ladybug, such as antenna and spots

Parental Guidance
Students will be using a hot glue gun please assist as needed
Supply List
2 boxes (113 blocks needed) of tower tumble blocks or Jenga blocks. Tower blocks can be found at dollar tree in the United States

Black and red acrylic paint

Black pipe cleaner

1/2 inch black pom poms

Wood glue 

Hot glue gun

Paintbrush

Ruler

10 mm black half beads 

Paper towels for wiping away glue spills when putting pieces together

When I am not dancing I love spending time with my family, riding my horse, participating in rodeos, playing sports and enjoying nature.
