How to Make a Collage in the Procreate Drawing App for iPad (Ages 9-14)

This class is for students with some experience using the Procreate app for iPad. Ideally, students will have taken my Procreate 101 class before taking this one. Students will learn in a small group and by step-by-step instructions. No art skill is required for this course. Students will complete this class knowing how to make masks and how to use the selection and transformation tools to create a collage-style piece of their name or a word/phrase of their choice.

    * How to add and edit text
    * How to use “layers”
    * How to use the clipping mask tool
    * How to use the selection tool
    * How to use the transformation tool 
    * How to insert a reference photo
    * How to use the Gaussian blur adjustment to create shadows
    * Some handy Procreate shortcuts

Student Materials Needed:
*iPad with the Procreate Drawing App ($9.99 in the App Store) installed.
*Stylus - An Apple Pencil is best, but any stylus can be used.
*Some pictures that the learner would like to use in their collage saved onto the iPad camera roll.
*A separate device for the learner to take class with so that they can follow along on their iPad as we explore Procreate.
