Do you want to be able to go after opportunities at school where you need to be on video, but you just don't enjoy the experience AT ALL? Does it seem like more and more people are using video and that there's a very good chance that you'll need to do the same - but you WISH you didn't? I get it. And you're not alone. When you build your confidence to where you look, feel, and sound natural and energized on camera, everything in life becomes SO much easier. From taking classes on Outschool to doing FB Lives and video chatting with friends and family . . . to opening up new and exciting opportunities at school and in your future career . . . the possibilities are endless! This class is a good fit for kids who want to feel good, but just don't know how. I LOVE helping you see your best character traits and qualities and develop your skills to feel awesome. This is an interactive class where it's ok to feel shy or intimidated at first (I felt that way for a long time) because you'll learn the very same secrets to feeling and looking confident on video that I taught Shamu's trainers and hundreds and hundreds of people like you - so that you'll always FEEL great on any video, anytime! Each class will be devoted to one of the essential camera and confidence topics: • Setting up your background, lighting, sound, and Zoom settings to look your best • Overcoming the doubts and fears of being "seen" on video and turning nerves into positive energy • Identifying and owning your inner "star quality" and getting comfortable in the "spotlight" • Finding your strong, clear, voice so people really listen to what you have to say (yes, YOU have one!) • What to do with your face, hands, and fidget-y habits • Top tips to "loosen up," have fun, and look like you were born to be on video! In a constructive and upbeat small class environment, each student will have "hands-on" opportunities to practice during class, provide classmates with constructive feedback and encouragement, and create and submit their own video homework (including "before" and "after" video demos). Let's face it, there's a rapidly building need for each of us to appear on video more and more often. Whether you love being on video and want to build your skills, or you're like most people who just don't feel comfortable at all--this ongoing class is going to teach you the skills to stand out from the rest for the rest of your life (and maybe even enjoy it)!
Learning Goals
Students will learn the essential secrets to looking, feeling, and sounding confident on video: background and lighting, overcoming nerves and fears about being "seen," looking natural and energized, developing a strong and clear voice, overcoming perfection and the inner critic, and building self-confidence. Plus, you'll have fun in the process!

Parental Guidance
Helping your child develop their self-confidence and skill level on video will help them create new opportunities for the rest of their lives (in school and in their future careers). You're encouraged to help them set up their video area, adjust their lighting (if needed), and give positive feedback and encouragement.
Supply List
A webcam or other means to record yourself and review your video and a willingness to learn and expand your skills. I will provide handouts to supplement the sessions.
