Class Experience
Welcome! I'm glad you're interested in learning more about 3D modeling and animation. It's a growing and highly employable industry that just so happens to be really fun too. Whether you're just diving into the world of 3D art, or you're looking to expand on what you've learned in one of my highly rated Blender flex-style courses here on Outschool, I'm looking forward to having you in class! Here's what you can expect: Who can take this course? How long does it take? This tutoring program...
This class is taught in English.
Students will be introduced to, or continue to develop their skills in, Blender 3D modeling and animation. Learning will be focused on low-poly and hard surface modeling, basic lighting, materials, and rendering, as well as animation. Hotkey familiarity and use will be emphasized, as it is key to efficient workflows.
No homework required. Optional homework may be suggested.
There are no grades or tests in any of my courses. However, I always encourage learners to reach out for constructive feedback.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
How Youtube is used in this course: I may sometimes send students links to my own prerecorded videos on Youtube. No account is required. How Blender is used in this course: This course uses Blender, a free and open source program for creating 3D models and animation. No account is needed. I will share my Blender program window though Zoom screen share during the live class. I may sometimes ask permission for learners to share their Blender program window through Zoom to troubleshoot issues as a last resort. You can find the Blender system requirements here: https://www.blender.org/download/requirements/ Please note that Blender does not run on Chromebooks.
