Writers write stories to tell other people about them. We will brainstorm our stories on a heart map.

We will make a movie by closing our eyes and remembering events.

We will model our stories on paper and make sure it matches our thoughts.

Writers draw pictures to match our stories. 

We will make sure there are people, places, and things in our pictures.

Writers think about what they can do when they are done.

I will model what labeling is and have them try to get beginning sounds in their pictures.
