🐣 Helping care for a new baby in the house can be a lot of work, and often times big sister and brothers want to help...they just don't know how.  Parents are often too tired, busy or sleep deprived to truly take the time to help them learn, but luckily I made a 5 week course all about how to help provide care excellent care for infants that helps kids learn at their own pace.

I am eager to share my knowledge and experience with learners who are excited to help care for infants ( ages 1 months - 12 months) their new sibling and would like to learn about the basics of caring for a baby from a professional nanny who has had the privilege to care for over 15 individual infants over the past 10 years. ( Including my own baby boy. )

🧑‍🏫 What Will My Child Learn During This 5 Week Course?
-During this course where kids learn at their own pace, I will touch on several very important subjects that will help young learners learn how to prepare to help parents provide care for infants ages (1 month - 12months) the new baby in your home. 

-Each week I will post a video / tutorial I have created myself, discussing each of the topics described below for learners to watch when they have time, which allows them to learn at their own pace.

-Each weekly recorded video and supplemental learning videos provided will be approximately 20 - 30 minutes of new knowledge for your child to learn.  I have personally created and / or selected each lesson and video for this course using the knowledge I have gained by actively performing all of these things many times over as a professional nanny to a variety of families over the years. (Including high profile families like professional athletes, who entrusted me with the care of their infants and children as well.)

- In this course I also discuss the kinds things kids can expect when the new baby arrives home, like new safety equipment they may see around the home and why its so important!

- I will also share ways that having a new baby sister or brother in their home can be so exciting and the kinds of fun things they can look forward to look forward to having a new baby in the house! 

-The last week will include an end of the Course Review and Fun Online Trivia Game too!

-Each week learners will also be asked to answer a simple question after they view the video. They will do this by posting in the comment sections in my virtual classroom where I post the weekly video! They can also ask questions about the weekly video in the post as well!

-This is where learners in the class are able to have the unique opportunity to have an interactive experience with other kids by sharing their thoughts and opinions on the weekly topic discussed in the video too!

After learners watch the last weeks video, each learner will be given the opportunity to complete an optional trivia game ( that they are welcome to play with their parents) to help reinforce what they have learned!

🎙 Can kids ask for help or support anytime throughout the 5 week course?
-Absolutely! Learners enrolled in the class will have the opportunity for students to ask me anything they want during the 5 week duration of our course. This is a chance for learners to ask me questions about anything babysitting related ANYTIME through the course!

-They will however have access to the course videos and all class resources for an ENTIRE YEAR!

Learning Needs
While this class does not specifically cater to Neurodivergent, it is very well suited for kids with ASD, ADHD, and Anxiety because it allows students to work at thier own pace! Many ND children enjoy my Flexible Learning Classes.
Supply List
I will use a few slides while teaching to provide children with the opportunity to take notes as I teach if they would like to. Kids should feel free to have:
- A pencil and paper to jot down notes as needed during the tutorials each week.

- A stuffed animal and a diaper if they want to try and practice along with me during my tutorial.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
