Class Experience

Beginner Level
Calling all Animal lovers!

Service Learning is a fun and important way for students to learn valuable skills like communication and leadership while getting hands-on experience doing something they love.

In this self-paced class, students who love animals and want to help animals will be given several options for service projects they can do and then reflect on their experiences. These are projects students can lead on their own or involve the whole family.

Students can watch two 8-10 minute videos each week. One video will be about animals while the other video will give inspirational project ideas and steps to serve.

Students will share their project ideas, pictures, and reflection in the classroom area.

Students that turn in a reflection each week will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Learning Goals

Students will learn about animals and the organizations that help animals who don't have a home. They will demonstrate leadership and life skills as they develop a project to help animals based on their own interest and community.
