Has your dog ever run off and you call him, but he doesn't come? Dogs are excitable animals. At times, they become engaged in playing in the garbage, chasing squirrels, or playing with dog friends at the park or beach. There are times, when you shouldn't call him. In this course, students will learn and practice strategies in getting their dog to come when called. We will focus on 3 different training commands/cues in getting the dog to come when called. Teacher is a Certified Dog Trainer, AKC Evaluator, and experienced elementary school teacher.
Homework Offered
Learners need to practice training their dogs 10 to 15 minutes at a time, 2 to 3 times a day. Dogs will not learn without the practice.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Informal observations.Grades Offered
Dog on a leash, bite sized raison treats for training, and a 15 to 20 foot leash.
Dogs are unpredictable and space is needed to train.
