Students will learn the differences between self-publishing and traditional publishing.
Although this is not a sensitive topic, I am the author of 10 books (8 previously published, two to be published in 2022), and I have taught Write to Publish at Sheridan College and have helped many people get published over the last fifteen years.
Students will be encouraged to work on their book proposals.
There is an informal assessment. If students wish to pursue a project, I will have a follow-up ongoing course working with students and guiding them from planning stage to publishing stage.
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
