In this class, students will learn how to draw and watercolor paint a Sloth in the Rainforest! Designed with beginners in mind, this pre-recorded video class is suitable for ages 5-8. 

The teaching process used for the drawing portion of this class is a step-by-step method that will inspire students into creative action! This process involves observing, following instructions, and creating until each student is happy with the outcome. 

Students will learn basic drawing and watercolor painting techniques and apply these techniques to complete this project. This art class is designed to give beginner artists the skills they need to jump-start their artistic journey into self-expression, reflection, and creative thinking. 

Supplies and materials needed for this class: 

+watercolor paper
+set of watercolor paints
+paint brush
+set of oil pastels or crayons
+cup of water
+paper towel

Step 1: Draw a Sloth Design

Step 3: Paint the Background

Time needed for students to complete this project is approximately 30 minutes. This is a self-paced video class where students may proceed through the art lesson at their own pace. Video may be paused at any time. There will be no live meetings, however, I will be available for questions and gentle encouragement.
