What's included

Homework
In this summer drawing class, students will be expected to draw their own piece independently at home using the step by step tutorial posted within the classroom. This should take approximately an hour. The introductory interactive presentation itself should only take 10 minutes.

Class Experience

There are NO live meetings for this summer drawing class. The material will be posted weekly and you can view it during the week at your convenience. Each week for 4 weeks students will be guided through a variety of exercises to help expand their knowledge of what we draw and get ample amount of time to practice their drawing and shading techniques with videos and presentations that have been pre-recorded. 

Each week will focus on one animal at a time and will be filled with various activities including interactive Nearpod presentations, step by step drawing demonstrations, educational YouTube videos, fun interactive trivia games, opening discussions and a chance for students to display their own works using the Outschool platform.

Learning Goals
In this summer drawing class, students will learn fun scientific facts about the animal they draw, each class will focus on how to create three dimensional space while drawing in pen and ink. This class is also meant to help build a beginning artist's confidence in creating realistic pieces while using different shading techniques.
