In this multi-day class, learners will learn foundational drawing techniques by drawing realistic animals - drawing techniques that can be applied to any drawing!
Class experience
In this fun, laidback class, learners will learn some drawing techniques about perspective, shapes, texture, and tones to help them draw popular realistic animals. Learners will have the option to follow along while I draw from an example, or if they are advanced, they can use the skills they learned in order to draw the animal how they want. Learners will learn about shapes, tone, texture, and some perspective while drawing different animals! These techniques are applicable to any drawing in any style!
I graduated from Grand Central Atelier in New York City where I was trained to draw and paint realistically in a traditional way. While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles. My goal is to teach children the tools of drawing and give them the opportunity to practice applying them so that they will be able to draw what they want independently.
