Class Experience

ALL students will learn how to draw in 3-D! Everyone will learn how to draw pictures that seem to POP off the paper in real life! Students will master The 12 Renaissance Words Of Drawing to create the visual illusion of depth. These very important terms/concepts of drawing have been developed and applied by great art masters and educators for over 500 years! I’ve taught millions of students around the world how to draw in 3-D, I will teach YOUR genius brilliant child too!
My Promise To Parents: My goal is to enrich your child’s live through the joy and profound life inspiring power of the visual arts! Art does change, and inspire lives! Many of my former students and PBS Television viewers have been so inspired they have pursued their passion for drawing into amazing careers of animation, illustration, and graphic design. My former students have enjoyed successful careers with Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, Paramount, HBO, Netflix, Marvel , Image, and DC Comics, and even NASA!

Thank you for considering enrolling your precious geniuses in my classes! We are all going to have an absolute joy filled creativity inspiring imagination launching blast!

I encourage all students to watch the class recording and redraw each of the drawings several times on their own while adding lot’s of bonus extra ideas! This is where the real learning takes place! Taking the fundamentals I teach in class and applying them to their own unique brilliant artwork!
For your child’s first class with me, a sheet of blank white paper and a sharp pencil with an eraser. That’s it! Nothing fancy or expensive. Once your child has completed this class and they clamor enthusiastically to enroll in MORE Mr. Mark drawing classes! I suggest these additional drawing supplies: Very Important Items all available easily on Amazon. A spiral bound hard back 8 1/2 x 11 or larger, 50 pages or larger, blank white paper sketchbook. A mechanical pencil 0.9 ml HB lead refillable Pentel Model #P209 (yellow gold color) A click eraser A drafting dusting brush to brush away eraser crumps A package of #3 pencil shading blending stomps.
I engage and encourage each student to share their drawings with the other students on camera throughout the lesson. This is such a powerful confidence booster and delightful classroom social moments where students can text supportive comments to others! This is not mandatory, It’s okay if some students choose not to share on camera.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Important Request: Please do not register students 7 and under in this class. The pace and level of difficulty may frustrate your child. Thank you!

Important Note: I am hearing impaired. Even with the wonders of high tech hearing aides and turbo resolution computer headsets, I still struggle to hear students if more than one is unmuted at time. Thank you in advance for reminding your students to keep mics muted when not speaking.

Important Idea: How does a Turbo FUN Outschool Art Attack! Birthday Party Sound?! Wahoooo! Message me, let’s schedule a special Outschool class BIRTHDAY BASH of creativity! Save me a piece of virtual cake!
