I am an educator and practicing artist. I went to San Diego State University, receiving my bachelor’s degree in fine art and my single-subject teaching credential. I taught for four years in the San Diego Unified School District, working with students in grades 6-12. In 2021, I left to pursue my master’s degree at Laguna College of Art and Design. I will graduate with my master’s in drawing in the Spring of 2023. I am passionate about the arts, particularly using simple tools like graphite and charcoal. My work is primarily in grayscale, but I am well-versed in color theory and painting in various mediums and substrates. While creating art is my idea of fun, I find nothing more exciting than seeing young folks share the same sentiment. Creating art can be an incredibly rewarding tool to express yourself. I hope to nurture that with the students in the classroom.
