Does your child want to draw characters from their favorite mobile game My Singing Monster, but has trouble making theirs look like the actual characters?

Do the Youtube videos or other tutorials go too fast? Or are you tired of those videos because your child doesn't get personalized, helpful feedback on their art?

Do you want your child to actually understand HOW and WHY a character is designed the way they are, so that your child also develops their drawing skills and conceptual understanding of character design?

If so, then join this class where I take you step by step through the drawing of a new monster from My Singing Monster every week. Each session your child will leave class with a beautifully designed and colored cartoon character.

I teach how to use basic lines and shapes to "construct" a character from the ground up, just like the pros do. This leads to an essential understanding of character design, line, shape, and form. This equips your child to not just draw the characters they love like Mammott but also create their own unique characters.

We'll cover the characters below:

Entbrat
Pango

🎬 MAGGIE WEHLER, PROFESSIONAL ANIMATOR AND ILLUSTRATOR: Maggie Wehler is a freelance animator and illustrator who has worked on a multitude of indie video games and indie animation projects! As she loved video games and cartoons as a child, she began drawing digitally in middle school and hasn’t stopped since! Taking that passion, she took online classes through the Academy of Art University in highschool and then pursued a degree in Film & Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she also completed a minor in Game Design. After college, Maggie attended the Disney College Program and worked at the Walt Disney World Parks in Florida while attending seminar classes with Disney artists and designers! She also makes freelance animated videos for the Youtube channel Psych2Go, which has over 11 million subscribers! Maggie firmly believes that everyone deserves to have a space to create, all art forms are valid, and any art fundamentals can be learned through drawing characters you love to draw! Other than drawing, Maggie enjoys playing video games like Splatoon and Monster Hunter, along with watching movies, anime and reading graphic novels.

KAITLYN SYDELLE, ANIME COMIC ARTIST 💪: Kaitlyn Lancaster is an experienced, award-winning comic artist with several self-published titles to her name. Kaitlyn is deeply passionate about enabling individuals to experience the confident joy of translating their ideas onto paper and witnessing their worlds come to life. She is active on the comic convention circuit and runs her own small business pursuing her childhood dream of bringing her stories, worlds, and characters to life. She had to grind to make it a success, and she longs to make it a little easier with the next generation of young dreamers by sharing all the secrets she’s learned along the way. She knows that there is no such thing as a "bad" art style and asserts that anyone can draw if given the opportunity. In her classes, Kaitlyn guides her students in developing the styles they enjoy, whether it's honing their own signature style or exploring new techniques. Beyond her artistic pursuits, Kaitlyn enjoys studying foreign languages and practicing martial arts to keep both her mind and body active.
