How to Draw: Animal Art Club | Beginner Realistic Animals Drawing & Sketching
What's included
1 live meeting
50 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner Level
In this weekly art club, learners will draw a new animal each week using easy, step-by-step instructions to develop realistic drawing skills. They’ll practice fundamental drawing techniques like understanding proportion, identifying shapes, using guidelines, and adding shading—all while creating animals that come to life on the page. The animal of the week is chosen through a fun lottery system, with learners helping pick from their own suggestions. Perfect for all skill levels, this club encourages young artists to follow directions, focus on details, and embrace mistakes as learning opportunities. By meeting weekly in a familiar, supportive setting, learners build confidence and creativity with each new drawing. By the end of each session, have a newly created animal drawing to add to their portfolio! 📋 Class structure: - Learners check in and choose animal of the week - Draw along of animal with step by step instruction - Learners add background if there is time - Learners share their creations During the draw along, learners are welcome to hold up their drawing to the camera for gentle feedback. They are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the lesson through the microphone or chatbox. For classes of more than 3 students, everyone’s microphone will be muted during instruction to avoid background noise. 🖌️ Materials - Paper (preferably for sketching/dry medium but printer paper can work too) - A pencil - An eraser - Any other supplies the learner wishes to use, ie color pencil, marker (Optional)
