In this course, students will learn the proportions of a human face, as well as some variations on people's features such as noses, eyes, and mouths! In addition, they will practice shading the faces they draw.
Class experience
This class will teach the basic tenets of how to draw a realistic human face. I will cover the idea of proportions--the size of and distance between objects relative to one another--so that students understand how to apply the skills we practice to different types of faces. We will also discuss some varying types of features, so that students have a good idea of how to make people look different from one another.
