In this one-time class students will learn how to draw a bunny wearing a flower crown. I use an instructional technique called directed drawing. Simply put, I break the drawing down into simple lines and shapes and demonstrate how to draw each step of the way. Students will work on their project along with the teacher. Once we are finished drawing, we will trace the pencil drawing with permanent marker. Then the students may use watercolor to finish their artwork. For the final step, I like to allow students complete freedom over how they paint which includes choosing their own colors. Most students will need to finish painting outside of class. Please bring the following materials to class: watercolor paper pencil eraser black permanent marker watercolors paint brush water cup paper towels The Bunny Lady’s Classroom Rules 1. Teacher expertise and credentials
My goal is to teach art projects that students are excited to create and their parents are happy to display. I offer unique projects using simple supplies.
In my art classes, I use guided drawing to help my students create beautiful artwork with confidence. I aim to sprinkle art vocabulary into my lessons as we work and create. Techniques learned in my classes can be applied to students' independent study and personal artistic development.
I am an artist native to colorful Colorado. I live with two house rabbits named Lucy and Melville. I absolutely love bunnies and I could talk about them all day! My creative interests include drawing, painting, quilting, embroidery and photography.
I taught in a traditional classroom for 5 years and in an online setting for 6 years. I have experience teaching ages 4-18. I hold a BFA in Photography with emphases in Drawing, Painting, Design, Ceramics and Art History. As a college student, I traveled to Italy and Greece to enrich my study of Art History.
Thank you for visiting my profile! I look forward to meeting your child in my classroom.
