Class Experience

Hey learners! Get a chance to learn how to do a Jazz pirouette from the comfort of your home!

We'll be delving into a dance vibes with:
* A warm up and stretching
* Breaking down technique and vocabulary
* And of course turning like the dancers that you are!

This beginner level 4-week series will always start with a positive affirmation, followed by instructional style of learning. Students are encouraged to ask questions and will be able to support each other. No dance experience is necessary--just keep an open mind, and let's be sure to have positive energy when we learn to turn! 🤗

Week of March 1st: Core building and vocabulary
Week of March 8th: Arm placement and quarter turns
Week of March 15th: Half turns, spotting and shifting your weight
Week of March 22nd: Single pirouettes with control

Please note that any zoom or technical issues may not be in my control. However, be sure to use your helpline and select "Cannot access the class" for any further assistance.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Please note that parents should be aware that their learner(s) will need an open space to move freely, have proper foot attire listed below in the Supply List section, and have a water bottle if needed. Safety and caution are of utmost importance as we want to do our best to avoid any sort of injuries for our dancing friends!
Supply List
It's best to have proper footwear such as a pair of socks, Ballet shoe, or Jazz shoe. Ideally a smooth surfaced floor such as hardwood would be best. And remember to have a water bottle on standby.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi friends!

My name is Miss Carly, and I would love to work with you! Majority of my classes will revolve around dance as I am a professional dancer, dance studio owner, and an emcee for a national dance competition. In other words, I REALLY LOVE DANCE!

I'm also a motivational speaker for a non-profit organization and will host classes on different subjects, including public speaking tips.

My goal as a teacher is to help my students build confidence and learn skills that go beyond the dance floor. I'm so excited to share my passion for dance and positivity with my new students here on Outschool!

I'm a huge Spongebob fan, my favorite color is red, and I watch Disney+ everyday! Can't wait to work with you!
