How to Create Canva Journal Covers - To Be Sold on Amazon KDP (Part 1)
What's included
1 live meeting
55 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
We will learn as a class how to: create a Canva profile, research what journal cover to make, learn how to use the basic Canva tools - uploading the cover outline, create a journal cover in Canva using the correct measurements, and then prepare to apply our learning to selling the journal on Amazon KDP (which will be a separate class). This will require students to have access to the internet, the ability to create a Canva profile and use the Canva software (the free version will suffice for this lesson). Students will have only prior knowledge of how to use basic computer functions. The rest we will learn together through a screen-share presentation in Canva and by observing the work of Paul Marles on Youtube. I love teaching and learning new skills! I am excited for us to grow in our knowledge of design together and practice creating new projects together. This is a skill that I have found great passion in and cannot wait to share it with you all.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to create their own journal cover, learn the basics of Canva and be prepared to sell the journal on Amazon KDP.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Students will need access to Canva by creating their own profile - this is a free subscription unless students wish to purchase a trial version of the Pro Canva option. We will reference the Youtube videos of Paul Marles and use screen share so students will follow along on my Canva account to create their own journal. Learners will need to download the KDP journal format through a class post and have access to the Canva website.
Supply List
A computer with internet access, the ability to create a profile on the Canva website, has a working mouse/cursor, and the ability to download a pdf journal outline from our class page.
