Students will build a professional, attractive resume that is ready to be turned into employers right away.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, studied Honors English courses in college, and have created personal resumes since I was 17 years old.
Students will turn in their finished resume for grading. Grading will be based on correct grammar, attractive layout, and appropriate language.
Students should have access to some form of a word processing software such as Google Docs or Microsoft Word. A resume reference guide will be given to the class before exit.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
An informal assessment of the completed resume will determine the student's completion of the class.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
