Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
In this one time course we will talk all about the job of a Herpetologist. We will learn what kind of reptiles they care for and what they actually do to care for them. We will discuss the education and training needed to hold this position. Have you ever wondered where a Herpetologist works? Children will be surprised to learn about where this job can take them! Now let's talk reptiles! There are so many different kinds, and we will go through a handful of them and learn about everything you need to know. This is a fact based lesson though a slideshow and with many opportunities for interaction and discussion. We will also be able to share our favorite reptiles with the class, real or fake! We will end class with a fun Iguana art activity! Get ready to paint your feet!

Hello everyone! My name is Ashley, I live in the United States, throughout the last 12 years I have been a preschool teacher, after-school program director and a general manager. I built my way up in the same company and have worn many hats. I have in depth experience working with children of all ages. In 2011, I received my bachelors degree in human development and Human Resources with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. More recently, since 2020, I have been teaching on Outschool. This has been my favorite position yet!! What I love about education and teaching children is the connection that I am able to form with them. I want children to feel comfortable and have fun learning. Aside from teaching, I have two children of my very own who I homeschool. I would be honored to have your child in my classroom so that we can enjoy the wonders of learning together. See you soon!
