Description

Class Experience

In this multi-day course, learners will reflect on and discuss how their values and money attitudes impact their spending and saving habits. Learners will also learn criteria-based strategies for spending and will set short and long term goals for spending, saving, and earning.
My experience as a high school educator and a high school librarian has provided me countless opportunities to teach students about important life-skills. These life-skills include budgeting time, organization, and setting goals around personal choices. I am also experienced in guiding students through the research process in order to apply and inform decisions as they set goals and make decisions about significant personal choices. As a high school librarian, I connect students to resources daily that enable them to make sound decisions about their future goals (managing money, applying for post-secondary education, and planning for careers).
No homework.
notebook/journal or notepaper
pen/pencil
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment will occur progressively throughout each lesson.
2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
